Slingerland Summer School

Teaching Assistant · Northbridge Academy, Mill Valley · Summer 2026

Supported 1st-6th grade students in developing foundational literacy skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Used the Slingerland method to provide explicit, structured, multisensory instruction to support each student; adapted activities and instructional strategies to support students with different learning abilities and needs.

Crossroads Tutoring

As a Crossroads Tutor since 9th grade, I provided weekly tutoring and homework support to middle school students in core subjects, working with individuals and small groups of 1–3 students.

At the age of 8, my family spent the day at a local school in Costa Rica, where I was responsible for creating an idea for an art project and then teaching it to the students. It set the foundation for my passion and love for teaching others.
